Wow, someone forgot about their Tumblr (oops). I just stumbled across this old thing here and I was apparently still logged in? Who knew? Anywho. Life’s been crazy, as usual. A lot has also changed. To name a few; not at the Karate School anymore (it’s okay, we’re still on good terms), still with the boy (although that’s not really a change, just throwing it out there), I’m 21 (party!), last year at Rowan (SENIORS!), leading a book/bible study with girls from Overflow (sweet), doing PR work for Rowan (extra sweet since my major is PR —hello resume), thinking about marriage ( a LOT! [and don’t call me crazy]), loving on some future sister and brother in laws (told ya marriage is on my mind), obsessing over candles and riding boots, addicted to Anthropologie, and pretty much loving and living life to it’s fullest.
Some things that have stayed the same; the boy (which I mentioned already —LOVE him [1 year and a month along!]), still working at dermatologist (almost 4 years, what?), still loving the iPhone (RIP Steve Roberts), my rooms still a mess (process of cleaning it now), JESUS is still number one (always will be), and I still hate school and when it gets cold out (I’m a summer baby all the way).
So that basically sums up life right now. Busy with school and working and the boy. I do have Friday’s off though so it’s pretty sweet sleeping in. I’m actually pretty sleepy now. Guess I’ll go and maybe I’ll read this in another year and update the changes.

Really moving.
See that boy doing his homework in homeroom? … He couldn’t do it last night because he was too busy talking his best friend out of suicide. See that girl, with her face caked in make up? … She’s bullied, she needs to feel beautiful. See him, the one who wears long sleeves everyday? … He covers his arms to hide the scars. See her, with the cheap, hand-me-down clothes? … Her family can’t afford food for half the month, let alone get brand names. See the girl who laughs and smiles at every little thing? … She cries herself to sleep every night. Wonder why she never lets her friends over her house? … Because she’s afraid they’ll see her dad passed out drunk on the floor, as always. See how that girl cringes at rape jokes? … She was raped. See the boy who everyone goes to for advice? … He wishes someone would do the same for him. See the girl who never brings a lunch? … She’s disgusted by her body. See her, with the little waist? … She goes to the bathroom and forces herself to throw up so that she can keep her waist that way. See the boy over there, see the dark circles under his eyes? … He has insomnia, he fears what he’ll see in his dreams. See that girl daydreaming over there? … She has schizophrenia. See the boy biting his nails? … He has cancer and he’s wondering how much time he has left. See your best friend? … She’s addicted to drugs, but she can’t tell you because you wont understand. See that boy reading all about 9/11? … His parents died on that day. See her, with her phone on her at all times? … She’s waiting for a call saying her sister was found after a kidnapping 4 years ago. Don’t judge.

So I haven’t updated in a while. I’ve been super busy with the start of a new school year and two jobs, yes I said TWO jobs, and training in between (we’ll get to that later). AND I have a significant other ;). I’ve been spending a lot of my time with my bible study/family lately. It’s amazing how much my life has changed for the better and I have no one else BUT GOD to thank for that. I basically live at my aunts house. I spend almost all of my time there, eat, hang out, everything. I honestly only sleep at my moms house and that’s it. As for everything else, I still at GCC (last semester woo-hoo!) and I’m taking four classes, one of them is online. I still work at the Dermatologist Monday-Thursday, and I love it! The new exciting news is that I work for my uncle now at Garaguso Karate and Leadership Academy. I know what you’re thinking, karate? yes, karate. And I know what you’re going to ask me: “Can you like, beat me up?” Yes, I can. Well, not really. HOWEVER! He asked me if I’d be interesting in working for him during weeknighs/saturdays. I agreed to it and whatdayaknow? I’m now a white belt and training two nights a week. Wanna know something? I don’t hate it! It’s really interesting and really disciplining. So as crazy as my schedule is, I still have time to squeeze that in. I will admit that it is kind of embarrassing seeing twelve year olds with higher rank than me but, hey! I’ll get there (in like 4 years!). Anywho, the Karate School is moving locations from Mainstreet (ghetto) ——> The Black Horse Pike! WAYYY better location for us + newer building = amazing. I can’t even begin to Thank God enough for how much he’s blessed me these past couple of months. His blessings are literally pouring on me. I am in love with Him more and more everyday as I continue to seek His Word & Will. As I stated, I have a boyfriend these days, and God couldn’t have given me someone better. We spend a lot of time together and he is truly amazing. He leads our bible study on Tuesday nights and he is so far in his walk with God it’s inspiring. Anyway, here’s a few pictures to keep you updated! Enjoy :)
This will be my future kitchen one day, don’t even worry about it.
I think my love of New Jersey started in forth grade. My teacher Mrs.Branco decorated our entire classroom with The Garden State paraphernalia. She loved New Jersey because we have mountains, the shore (please don’t picture Jersey Shore… I hate that show… that’s not what NJ is like. At least the south isn’t and that’s the better half… sorry it’s the truth), we are close to Philadelphia (i’m 20min), close to New York and we get all the seasons. So needless to say I LOVE NEW JERSEY. I don’t know if you have the same obsession with your state but I found a few cool fines to help you show your state pride. These are also great gifts for people who have to leave their home state for various reasons. Enjoy!

My first real client! (I’m not counting my family) Tori contacted me and wanted a new look for her bedroom. Luckily she caught me in one of those creative mood and I started working on a concept (at like 12pm). She already had a comforter that she liked (the black and white print shown above) so I had to include that. (not going to lie the bold print on a comforter threw me for a loop, I usually like the idea of simple comforter, bold pillows… but I like a challenge)
Tori is a young fashion forward girl… So after I had a few colors in mind I went searching on Etsy for some art work. I seriously can’t believe what I found! It was exactly what I was looking for colors and all. The picture on the left is my absolute favorite… seriously to die for! You have to check out jkldesign.
Overall I’m very excited about the room makeover. Its going to be sophisticated but playful. (black, white, yellow, teal and coral)
My new so-to-be room :)
My dear friend/designer/blogger Katie Kelly has been creating these fantastic headbands priced between $10 and $18! You can shop all her looks on Etsy or request a custom made piece (she’s super crafty). Think of all the parties, weddings, and dates you could wear these to!
In Katie’s words, “A headband is the best thing to complete an outfit or to disguise a bad hair day”. Make sure to browse the shop and check out her interior design blog: (K. Lynn Design).
who’s that pretty girl in the center ;)
